Therapy with warmth, presence and care
Hello — I’m Ben (he/him), an Integrative Counsellor/Psychotherapist offering therapy to adults both online and in-person from my consulting room in Warsop, near Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

I believe that therapy begins with relationship — one that feels safe, respectful, and emotionally present. My aim is to create a space where you can speak freely, be met with care and curiosity, and begin to explore whatever’s going on for you in a way that feels manageable and meaningful.

I’m especially interested in helping people develop their self-esteem, deepen their relationship with themselves, and make sense of the patterns that shape how they relate to others. Whether you’re feeling anxious, stuck, overwhelmed or unsure of how you feel at all, we can take time to explore things together.
My approach
I work from a relational integrative perspective, which means I draw on a number of therapeutic approaches while keeping the quality of our relationship at the heart of the work. I pay close attention to your emotional experience, your developmental history, and the way we relate in the therapy room — using all of this to support self-understanding, healing, and lasting change.

I offer open-ended therapy that’s tailored to your unique needs. Some people come with a clear sense of what they want to work on; others aren’t quite sure but know that something doesn’t feel right. Either way, you’re welcome here.
Experience and values
I’ve been working in mental health-related roles since 2008, and I bring that depth of experience into my therapeutic work. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, having trained at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy. I began seeing clients in 2018, qualified in 2020, and became a BACP-accredited therapist in 2022 — a recognition of high standards in professional training, clinical practice, and ethical care.
As part of my ongoing commitment to safe and ethical practice, I engage in regular supervision and continuing professional development.
I work with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, and the effects of trauma. I also have experience supporting neurodivergent clients and people from LGBTQ+ and GSRD communities, and I aim to offer an affirming, inclusive space where all parts of your identity are welcomed and respected.
