Your First Session
Taking the first step into therapy can feel like a big decision, and it’s completely natural to feel a little unsure at first. Our first session is a chance for us to meet and get a sense of how it feels to talk together. There's no pressure or expectation — it’s about seeing if we’re a good fit.

We’ll spend some time exploring what’s brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and how we might begin to approach things in a way that feels manageable and supportive. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you might have about how I work.

Before we meet, I’ll send you a pre-therapy information sheet and intake form. This gives you a clear idea of what to expect from therapy with me and a space to tell me a little about yourself in advance.

If, after meeting, you don’t feel that it’s quite the right fit, you’re under no obligation to continue. And if I feel that a different kind of support might serve you better, I’ll be honest about that and help you explore other options.
